The Caffè Monte Baldo, with the Vesentini family, made the history of canapés in Verona. The canapé or "cicchetto", as we call it in the Veneto region, is a small slice of bread, soft or crunchy, topped with a simple food: fish, meat or cold cuts, cheeses, sauces and vegetables. The owner Gianni and our deli crew make them available as soon as they are topped with genuine and tasty foods, with particular attention to vegetarian and vegan customers.
For over 40 years our passion for good food has made available more than 35 different types of tapas served single or in a "selection" of ten colorful and tasty pieces.
These tapas are part of the authentic gastronomic tradition of Verona and are an excellent opportunity to spend pleasant moments in company.
An advice? In addition to the canapés, try the meatballs and our "Veronese" arancini made with Risotto all'Amarone della Valpolicella with a soft heart of Monte Veronese cheese.
